The smallest suburban public school district in Pa. has an opening for a Spanish teacher in its 4-member World Language Department K-12 program. Teaching responsibilities will be World Language Exploratory ( 7th grade), Spanish III, IV, V, and AP . We are seeking a teacher with 1. Advanced high to superior language skills, 2. Computer skills for sharing language in and out of the classroom, 3. Classroom skills based on a) an understanding of the principles of second language acquisition that inform teaching with comprehensible input and b) experience in the practice of comprehension-based communicative language teaching, 4. An interest in collaborative curriculum development. Interested candidates should have a K-12 Spanish Teaching Certificate.
